We understand that Mamas-To-Be want to look their best just as much as anyone else! You can still have the HD Brows treatment when you’re pregnant/breastfeeding (yay!) but you will not be tinted as part of the treatment.
In effect from the 2nd May 2017, the HD Brows tinting policy is that clients under the age of 16, and clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot be tinted as part of the HD Brows treatment.
Although it may feel tempting to ask your stylist to do it anyway, your Pretty Little Things Beauty HD Brow stylist is a trained professional and they are obligated to adhere to EU legislation and the manufacturer’s guidelines, they cannot go against them even with consent from the customer. This for your own safety.
There are products that your stylist will use instead, such as the Brow Colourfix to give a freshly tinted look, and they’ll be able to show you how to use Brow Colourfix at home to help recreate that same look, without the risk.
Here at Pretty Little Things Beauty, we want to make sure you’re happy and confident throughout the HD Brows Process. That’s why we always start with a consultation so we can ensure that we’re working towards the same goals and creating your dream eyebrow shape. Just let us know if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding and we can keep that in mind. You can let us know exactly what you want to achieve and we’ll work together to make sure that’s achievable – then that’s exactly what we’ll work towards together.
Although we won’t complete the tinting process on you, we’ll still follow the rest of the same process to ensure your brows are looking their best. Following your initial consultation, your Pretty Little Things stylist will start to create your desired eyebrow shape, as decided in the initial consultation, using our exclusive brow mapping techniques and the HD Brows exclusive formula of waxing. We work towards your long-term goals so keep in mind any areas where you may want to re-grow hair and work from there.
After waxing, your HD Brows stylist will use threading to make sure they’re creating a smooth and neat finish. We want to ensure there’s no sign of waxing so we use the threading technique to remove any of those fine and fluffy hairs that sit above and below the brow.
Next up is our favourite part of the process here at Pretty Little Things Beauty! We’re perfectionists, so this is where we really start to see what we’ve created and we can work to make those fresh brows even fresher. At this point, your HD Brows stylist will tweeze any stray hairs if necessary and trim unruly hairs down. We’ll also use the HD Brows make up range to create a perfect finish that suits your style and face and leaves you feeling fresh and happy with your brand new brows! This will be especially important to recreate that freshly tinted look, without risk.
To achieve your dream brows is a true collaboration between your stylist and yourself. Once your Pretty Little Things Beauty stylist has finished your treatment, she’ll let you know the best aftercare advice to help maintain your results, along with some great product recommendations that will keep your brows looking their best. Following the aftercare advice will help keep your brows looking fresher for longer and is especially important if you’re on a re-growth programme. You’ll be working towards your dream brows together with your stylist.
